RAW Fulcrum

Fulcrum Kit / Car

The Fulcrum;

looks exciting and is cost effective to build, drive, insure & maintain.

A true drivers car, the Fulcrum is equally at home on road or track. Whether you’re looking for weekend driving excitement, to compete in a race series, or for some track day fun, consider the Fulcrum.

Engineered to combine exceptional handling & performance with drivability.

Making for an impeccably mannered and very high performance car. This, combined with 20 years of racetrack heritage, ensures that the Fulcrum never disappoints.
Starting with a Ford based self-build kit, a road car can be built for a lot less than you might imagine. Complete base kit packages are very competitively priced and you will struggle to find Fulcrum performance anywhere for the same budget.

Purchase a full kit or a few major components to start your build.

The base kit is fully upgradeable and the same chassis is used in road and track cars. (A lowered “TR” chassis is available for track/race only use.) Numerous upgrade option ensure that customers can evolve the car with the confidence that the Fulcrum’s incredible handling and performance are only enhanced.

SVA

Both customer built cars and of course factory models pass the new more stringent single vehicle approval test(required for road use) known as the IVA (individual vehicle approval) without a headache.

Ford Zetec

raw offer OMEX controlled Ford Zetec Engines

Raw’s Zetec range of engines and upgrades produced in conjunction with OMEX have been developed to be solutions that are truly ‘turn-key’.
The engines are all hot run on a test rig, the cams run-in, throttle bodies balanced and emissions pre-set where applicable.
The Zetec is available with various upgrades, all of which can be added to a basic engine later if desired. depending on your budget / requirements you can choose from the following power outputs;
  • 140 BHP
  • 170 BHP
  • 180BHP
  • 200BHP
  • 220BHP (dubbed “Weapons Grade” by CKC)

Toyota 4AGE

Toyota 4AGE Engine with Supercharger

Raw can no longer offer the TOYOTA 1600cc 4AGE 16v and 20v engines from Japan. Simply because we can’t get the price down enough to compete with major importers currently. However it is still available in the Uk, (ask for details)
The Toyota 4AGE engine is the legacy of the MK1 Toyota MR2 and Corolla GTI, but in the reduced weight setup of the Fulcrum & Striker feel like a very different engine giving very quick pickup. If that’s not enough, we have also developed a supercharged 4AGE engine package which is available from stock.

Bike Engines

Bike engined kit cars

Bike engine power is fast, exciting and light weight. This all adds up to a nimble kit car with great handling and performance.

Bike engined kit cars have been popular in hillclimb single seaters, some dedicated circuit race formuale such as Radicals and Formula 600.

At Raw we have used a number of bike engines for customers kit cars, the Yamaha R1 proving popular and reliable.

Development news!

Tuesday, 7 April 2009

It seems that our very latest race results are now being taken seriously. We have never boasted of our personal racing experience although we have had our successes when we were racing the first Striker TR during development.

With Andy Charsley a previous Formula Ford Champion at the helm we learned a huge amount about winning races and car set up. This has also precipitated much of our development work.

This is in direct contrast to some of our competitors who continually go on about their own racing experience in other previous championships. We always say you are buying a car not our experience so we have always let the Striker do the talking and just mentioned the 25 year heritage in race success. We have tried to build on that with the development of upgrades, the lowered chassis and also the Fulcrum.

Well customers are now taking us seriously. In the workshop Martin is building a supercharged CBR 1000 RRR Striker TR that will be racing in the Welsh series this year by Mr Russell Haggerty. The next car to be built is one we have been commissioned to for a customer who wants a seriously quick track car. The spec of this is an over 200 bhp Hayabusa powered Striker TR with all the trick bits on it. This customer has come to us after a disastrous experience with one of our competitors so the pressure is on. However it was the performance on the race track that has brought these customers to us. Remember what Enso Ferrari said ‘Win on Sunday, sell on Monday’. This is starting to happen and we encourage anyone that wants a sure fired performance car for the road or track …….Come and see us

We are also installing black top 2 litre engines into two cars a Striker and a Caterham. This 170 bhp engine is proving to be popular as it is very well priced for a new engine of this power. It is the one in our Striker Challenge so it is fully tested in the format we fit.

We are still doing deals for those who want to build a budget Striker. Remember all Strikers are upgradable. Start with a budget build and then upgrade is a very cost effective way of building and having fun

Chassis body kits from: £3,170 incl vat

Fully comprehensive single donor kits from: £5,999 incl vat

Car in a box Striker T150 kit from: £13,500 incl vat

Fully built Striker T150 from £17,000 incl vat

Fulcrum only costs £2000 more spec for spec over the Striker
